Product Development Manager position

GEORGE KELK CORPORATION,

MANAGER, PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

Responsibilities:
Working in an engineering department of 55 staff, you will manage the development of new, real-time embedded system sensor products of an opto-electronic and electronic nature. These advanced technology sensors use embedded digital systems, innovative signal processing, networking, industrial I/O and user interfaces. This is a senior position reporting directly to the VP Engineering.

Qualifications:
You have an Engineering degree (B.Eng, B.Sc, or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Physics and have over ten years relevant experience. Additionally, you are registered as a P.Eng. in Ontario or as an engineer in another Canadian province. You are fluent in both spoken and written English.
You have the following abilities:

* a good working knowledge of complex project management
* an understanding of good electronic and/or electro-optic design
* a knowledge of process instrumentation
* able to work in a matrix organization, managing projects being worked on by several engineering disciplines.
* experience in an industrial manufacturing company making hi-tech products
* A sound knowledge of "MS Project" software (or equivalent) and its use for multiple project administration.
