Abstract
Renewable energy is on the go: November 28, 2007-Google, now the sixth-largest U.S. company is targeting renewable energy that could produce a gigawatt of energy at prices of 3 cents per kilowatt hour or lower, cheaper than coal," said Bill Weihl, Google's Green Energy Czar. The company would spend hundreds of millions of dollars in for-profit "breakthrough renewable energy projects."
Our renewable power conference has been triggered by the audience follow-up after the May 24, 2007 technical conference 'Reactor Designs for the Upcoming Nuclear Stations Worldwide' that inspired also an upcoming on February 28, 2008 engineering forum on Nuclear Technology in Ontario. Great interest in nuclear technology is without any doubt matched if not exceeded by both interest and sense of urgency regarding the development of renewable energy sources.
The conference will focus on technology as well as economic benefits, performance and operational experience of Ontario renewable energy producers.
The audience will include a variety of renewable power stakeholders including Ontario Power Generation staff, engineering/science students and faculty, retiree engineers, and engineering community in general (IEEE, PEO, and other engineering asociations.Friday, January 25, 2008
